Kidney Stones, also known as renal calculi, are hard masses that separate urine from the urinary tract. These stones can occur anywhere in the urinary tract, including the kidneys, bladder, ureters and urethra. It is an extremely painful condition that is more often hereditary, but it can also be a result of improper diet and metabolic disorders like hyperparathyroidism.

The symptoms are not apparent until a stone blocks the urinary tract. Possible symptoms include:
  • Sudden, severe and excruciating backpain, which may come and go. The pain often radiates from the back across the abdomen and into the genital area or inner thighs.
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Abdominal bloating
  • Blood in urine
  • Pain during urination
  • Fever

Diet is extremely important in dissolving kidney stones:
  • Avoid foods that are rich in oxalate, which include spinach, dark leafy vegetables and beans.
  • Junk food, soda and caffeine should be avoided.
  • Drink watermelon and cranberry juice, which are known as ‘kidney friendly’ foods.
  • Drink plenty of water.

You May Try:
Cystone has been clinically proven to be effective in flushing out urinary stones within six months of treatment. It also prevents the recurrence of stone formation in a majority of cases and can help the patient avoid surgery. The drug has a positive effect on the crystalloid-colloid balance and a disintegrating action on the mucin in the calculi (an action which dissolves the stones).
